“I believe the power to make money is a gift from God… to be developed and used to the best of our ability for the good of mankind.” – John D. Rockefeller, 1905
At NeoTreks, service is one of our core values – not only in regard to our clients, but also service to those less fortunate in our community.
Like most entrepreneurs, Catherine and Michael Bullock are consistently charitable with their time and money.
One of their favorite Colorado Springs charities is Christmas Unlimited. The Bullock family volunteers their time every Christmas season to help the organization and to teach their children the importance of serving others.
Best known for its toys and school supplies distribution programs, Christmas Unlimited serves children and their families in the Pikes Peak region. Last year, the organization helped more than 2,500 families and 8,756 children.
NeoTreks Gives Back
In addition to working with Christmas Unlimited, Catherine and Michael wanted to do more in the community, so they asked employees for their favorite charities – especially those that help children – so NeoTreks could offer its support.
The team’s feedback was overwhelming! As a result, our charitable footprint has grown from local charities close to our heart to global organizations making lives better at scale.
After researching the various charities recommended on CharityWatch.org, NeoTreks humbly provides financial assistance to the following organizations:
All Hands and Hearts effectively and efficiently addresses the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by natural disasters.
RMHC provides housing and compassionate care to children and their families being served by leading hospitals worldwide.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
AFSP raises awareness, funds scientific research and provides resources and aid to those affected by suicide.
Compassion International releases children from poverty in Jesus’ name by carefully blending physical, social, economic and spiritual care together.
International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future.
This mission provides life-changing care for the homeless in Colorado Springs.
The Happy Result of Giving
Did you know that people who give time and/or money charities are 43% more likely to say they’re very happy?
Even those who give blood are twice as likely to say they’re very happy.
Simply put, you can’t find any kind of charitable service that won’t make you happier. Why?
Studies show that when you give, it lowers your levels of stress. When you do your job with less stress, you are more productive and successful. When we find ways to relax, we profit from it.
The bottom line is this: Givers are healthier, happier, and richer in this country—and probably around the world.
Will You Consider Giving Back This Holiday Season?
What are your favorite charities? Did yours make our list?
If you’re interested in giving back this holiday season, please consider supporting one of the charities listed above to create stronger communities here in Colorado and beyond.
Thank you and Merry Christmas from all of us at NeoTreks!
